REV. MOON —THE CHAMPION OF RACIAL EQUALITY?????
In 1977-78 the Supreme Rabbinic Court of America, a duly constituted Halachic Bet Din, (Court of Jewish Law), examined and reviewed the Unification Church and its affiliate organization known as "Judaism In Service to the World." After nearly a year of deliberations they published their conclusions which included, among other things, the following charges against the leaders of the Unification Church organization "Judaism in Service to the World" (all of whom were Unification Church leaders):
In addition to these charges by the Supreme Rabbinic Court, many former Unification Church members have testified of having heard many anti-Semitic statements from Moon and his Unification Church. Many have also testified that Moon actually teaches that the Korean race is superior. Steve Hassan, a former Unification Church leader, is today considered one of America's leading experts in counseling people who have been involved in cults. His book, Combatting Cult Mind Control is highly acclaimed by both mental health professionals and clergy as an authoritative work on the subject. Mr. Hassan is highly respected for his work in educating the public about the use of deception, mind control and other techniques used by cults. On the internet is an article by this former Unification Church member entitled, "The Truth About Sun Myung Moon." On p.10 of this article it says:
|
Moon is saying that blacks are talented physically but not intellectually or spiritually! The following excerpt was taken from an article in the Napa Sentinel and is also accessible on the internet:
Moon says that Japan is in the position of Eve.
The United States is viewed by Moon as an archangel country.
Here I must point out that I never use the term "Moonie", considering it derogatory and demeaning, but always treat Unification Church members with respect and refer to Unification Church members as "Unificationists". So I do not agree with the use of the term used above but am merely documenting the name of the article. But I thought it necessary to quote this article and other above information that the truth might be known, that Rev. Moon is not such the great champion of racial equality that he wants you to think he is! Moon humbly said of himself, in his speech given on True Parents Day, April 18, 1996,
The Washington Post recently reported:
The Unification Church teaches its members: |
Cynthia Lilly is one mother whose family was
almost destroyed by the Unification Church (as was reported on NBC’s "Today
Show", Nov. 11, 1993 [See on the internet "Sun Myung Moon’s Family Values - A
Mother’s Story" Maclean's, Canada's highly respected newsmagazine, reported: "...Ingo Michehl, a 29-year-old native of Germany who was drawn into Moon's orbit at a church-funded student centre near San Francisco in 1986. For the next 6½ years, Michehl criss-crossed the United States in a van with 10 others, selling landscape photographs and other novelty items 18 hours a day to raise money for the church. At times, he says, church leaders also ordered him and fellow unpaid recruits to work for the Women's Federation and other Moonie groups. Michehl, who is now studying psychology in New England, says he has nothing but contempt for the public figures who knowingly associate with Moon and his myriad organizations: "Moon gets his picture taken with a celebrity and uses it to recruit people. And when you go to the centre you see pictures of Moon with all these big guys. It's a credibility thing. You think, `Well, what could possibly be wrong with this organization?'" (Ross Laver and Paul Kaihla, Maclean's, "Sun Myung Moon Embraces the High and Mighty", Oct 23, 1995, p.46.) There are many former Unification Church members with similar stories. Moon teaches that he is supposed to be the absolute ruler of a global theocracy. |
In the aforementioned article by Steve Hassan, this former Unification Church leader also reports:
Sun Myung Moon teaches:
Of course, Moon claims that he is the "Lord of the Second Advent". |
Quoting from the Unification Church book, The Victory of Love, a message is recorded that came from a Unification Church member operating as a medium which the Unification Church claims is a message from Jesus speaking from the spirit world:
Every Sunday, on the first day of every month, and on four holy days that the group observes, at 5:00 a.m., Unification Church members around the world hold "pledge service." Before the pledge is said, three complete bows from a standing position to a fetal kneeling position are performed facing an altar. In the center of the altar is a picture of Moon (and his second wife). Members bow three times with their face touching the floor and then, out loud and in unison, recite a five-point pledge to be faithful to God and to Sun Myung Moon. Rev. Ahn gives us Unification Church teaching as recorded in Today's World, a magazine for Unification Church members:
And Rev. Moon himself teaches:
|
Sun Myung Moon does want to unite all races and all peoples -- in serving and submitting to him with unquestioning mindless obedience, in setting him up as the absolute ruler of the world, in following him and his many false teachings (e.g. that Jesus was conceived by Mary having sex with Zechariah), in proclaiming him as the "sinless" Messiah, "True Father", "True Parent", in bowing down to him, etc., etc.!!! Let us seek to promote racial harmony, and strong families, but in a way which cannot be used by Moon to exalt himself, to seek to convince people that he is the Messiah, to cause people to become slaves for him, and expand his kingdom of the cults. Let us speak out against the false teachings and deceptive practices of Sun Myung Moon and his Unification Church. (See Examples of the Use of Deception by the Unification Church on our website.)
