-- CELEBRITIES, POLITICIANS --
(The Women’s Federation for World Peace and the Family Federation for World Peace are Unification Church front groups being used to gain public legitimacy and to recruit new members. The Family Federation for World Peace is being used to influence people to participate in Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremonies. The Unification Church teaches that by having your marriage "Blessed" by Moon one receives salvation and is "born again"!) HIGH PROFILE CELEBRITIES AND POLITICIANS Sun Myung Moon and his Unification Church now have big name celebrities and politicians (like former President Bush) speaking and/or performing for their front organizations such as the "Women’s Federation for World Peace" and the "Family Federation for World Peace". Concerning this the Watchman Expositor reports:
Several of such persons had no idea they were getting involved with a Moon sponsored event when they signed to participate.
|
THE UNIFICATION CHURCH TELLS THE PUBLIC . . . Others, like former President Bush (Bush has made many speeches for the Women’s Federation for World Peace) were told by the Unification Church that the Women’s Federation for World Peace is completely independent and separate from the Unification Church and does not follow Moon’s agenda. Maclean’s, Canada’s highly respected newsmagazine, has reported,
Speaking of former President Bush the article says,
The article goes on to say,
In seeking to explain how former President Bush would lend himself to speaking for the WFWP, a Sun Myung Moon - Unification Church sponsored organization, Bush spokesman, Jim McGarth says,
The Maclean’s article quotes Bush as saying,
But many former Unification Church members would strongly disagree with this! Cynthia Lilly is one mother whose family was almost destroyed by the Unification Church (as was reported on NBC’s "Today Show", Nov. 11, 1993 [See on the Internet "Sun Myung Moon’s Family Values - A Mother’s Story" see other similar stories by ex-members also at this website). Concerning public figures, celebrities, and politicians (like former President Bush) who make speeches for Moon’s front organizations (like the Family Federation for World Peace, Women’s Federation for World Peace, etc.) she expresses the view of many whose children have been recruited into the Unification Church:
Maclean’s also reported:
There are many former Unification Church members with similar stories. The Watchman Expositor informs us:
THE UNIFICATION CHURCH TEACHES ITS MEMBERS . . . |
Today’s World is a magazine published by the Unification Church for Unification Church members. It often includes Moon’s speeches and sermons as articles. Concerning the Women’s Federation for World Peace and as recorded in Today’s World, Rev. Moon has instructed Unification Church members:
For Rev. Moon "the survival of the Christian world", indeed the survival of the whole world, depends on them following him and his teachings and serving him as the Lord of the Second Advent, as their "True Father", as their "sinless Savior!" For Rev. Moon and the Unification Church all of mankind is dependent on Rev. Moon as the only hope of salvation, which comes by following his teachings, being "blessed" by Moon in marriage, and at that time undergoing his "holy wine" ceremony, thereby (supposedly) having your "blood lineage cleansed"! Thus the reason for the bizarre Mass Weddings aka "Blessing Ceremonies" (see "Blessing '98" in New York City"). Many have alleged that this "holy wine", which participants drink, contains a small amount of Moon’s literal blood (in highly diluted form, of course). [See former Unification Church member Craig Maxim’s article "Unification Church, Insider - Secret Doctrines" for proof of this!] In a speech given August 24, 1992 at the Little Angels’ School in Seoul, Korea Rev. Moon said:
Rallies held by the Women’s Federation for World Peace were the platform Moon used for his Messiahship declaration!!! Again, concerning WFWP, Rev. Moon has instructed Unification Church members:
And recently concerning the WFWP, Rev. Moon has taught:
A recent article in the May/June issue of Today’s World told Unification Church members: |
For Unification Church members, "to influence American women and the world for God’s will" means to influence them to accept the teachings of Sun Myung Moon, to accept him as the "True Adam", as their "sinless Saviour", the Messiah, to be "blessed" by him in marriage, to participate in his "holy wine" ceremony, etc., etc.! The same article (about the WFWP) in Today’s World said:
The Unification Church teaches its members:
And Sun Myung Moon has taught:
Though on the surface the Women’s Federation for World Peace may seem like a good thing, behind it all, it is just one more tool which Sun Myung Moon is using to promote himself as being the Messiah, "The Lord of the Universe", the "True Adam" who is supposedly bringing in world peace and to influence people to join the Unification Church, accept his many false teachings, and follow him as their "sinless Saviour". The Unification Church uses these meetings to impress people, to make contacts with people they are trying to convert, and pictures of celebrities, etc. at such events are used by the Unification Church to recruit people and to give an air of legitimacy to their group. The Unification Church tells people, (like former President Bush and others) that the Women’s Federation for World Peace is completely independent and separate from the Unification Church and does not follow Moon’s agenda. But the thoroughly documented quotes listed above prove otherwise!!! What do you expect from a man and from an organization that teaches its members:
And:
Of course, for the Unification Church, leading someone to the (supposed) "Lord of the Second Advent" (Moon) and persuading them to follow him would be considered "a good thing". This is just classic cult indoctrination of "the end justifies the means". See our article, "Examples of the Use of Deception By the Unification Church" for more information on this subject. |
That was the Women’s Federation for World Peace. But what about the Family Federation for World Peace (and Unification)? What do you, the reader, think?! The Inaugural Session of the Family Federation for World Peace, held in Washington, D.C. July 30 through August 1, 1996, was a big event for the Unification Church. Concerning the Inaugural World Convention of the Family Federation for World Peace Today’s World reported:
Quite an impressive roster of speakers (I noticed that the problems concerning Cosby were not even mentioned in the article). Surely anyone who read about or attended the conference must have been duly impressed and perhaps many thought, "What a fine organization the Family Federation for World Peace must be to have such a prestigious list of people speaking for them." All of these people gave fairly innocuous speeches about the importance of and need for strong families, etc. What could possibly be wrong with that? Who could possibly be opposed to that? Certainly not this writer! The problem is that during the course of the two days of speeches, Rev. and Mrs. Moon also gave speeches at this conference, in which they presented Unification Church doctrine. This not only promoted Unification Church doctrine to the many who attended to hear the aforementioned prestigious list of speakers, but gave (and gives) the impression that all the speakers involved also agreed with and endorsed such doctrine and beliefs! Mrs. Moon’s speech entitled "View of the Principle of the Providential History of Salvation" was an overview of Unification Church theology which seeks to lead the listeners to the conclusion that Rev. Moon is the Messiah - that Rev. and Mrs. Moon are the "True Parents" of all mankind which come to bring salvation to all humanity. She also implied and hinted at over and over again (though avoiding saying it outright) the false and abominable teaching of Sun Myung Moon that Jesus was conceived by Mary having sex with Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist! In another Today’s World article explaining the importance and significance of the Inaugural World Convention of the Family Federation for World Peace, the Unification Church taught:
Thus we see that according to the Unification Church the Inaugural World Convention of the Family Federation for World Peace was a stepping stone or preparation for the "Blessing Ceremonies". Before the Inaugural World Convention of the Family Federation for World Peace the Unification Church had not held a Mass Wedding in the United States since July, 1982. Since the July, 1982 Mass Wedding in New York City the Mass Weddings were moved back to Korea, where several were held through the years, each one growing dramatically in numbers. After the Inaugural World Convention of the Family Federation for World Peace and during 1997 the Unification Church spent much time and energy holding "True Family Values" Seminars and Festivals. Many of these meetings specifically targeted the Christian community and they were presented as sponsored by the Family Federation for World Peace. The Unification Church used these meetings to seek to influence and persuade people to participate in the "Blessing" Ceremony. Sun Myung Moon brought his Mass Weddings ("Blessing Ceremony") back to America, and on November 29, 1997 Moon held his largest Mass Wedding ever up to that date at RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C. (the same city where the Inaugural World Convention of the Family Federation for World Peace, with its prestigious roll-call of speakers, took place). But this Mass Wedding was not presented as a Unification Church event, but, in their highly aggressive promotional campaign, was presented as a Family Federation for World Peace sponsored event. Again, this gave (and gives) the impression that all who had spoken or performed at Family Federation events also supported the Mass Wedding and endorsed the underlying beliefs and teachings behind it. The Unification Church reported that 40,000 people attended the event at RFK Stadium that day. (And purportedly 3.6 million couples participated in the ceremony via satellite hookup throughout the world.) Each person who attended the event at RFK was given a packet as they entered the stadium. (I don’t know about those at the satellite linkups) Included in this packet was a "Blessing Shawl" of white satin and gold trim (think of a long white scarf), a program and a booklet about the week’s events, a poncho, and a book containing several speeches of Sun Myung Moon - giving each person who attended a strong dose of Unification Church doctrine! During the actual Wedding and Marriage Rededication Ceremony, after a symbolic sprinkling of "holy water", Rev. and Mrs. Moon led couples in saying, "I do" to four pledges, among them a promise to "inherit the tradition of the Unification Church and pass its proud tradition down to future generations of Unification families and to all mankind." (As reported by the Washington Post [see article by Caryle Murphy and Linda Wheeler, "At RFK Moon Presides over Mass Wedding", Washington Post, Sun. Nov. 30, 1997, p.BO1]) |
Next came Blessing '98 which was to be held June 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City (with satellite linkups throughout the world). Prior to the Madison Square Garden "Blessing" Ceremony this writer obtained an internal document of the Unification Church, a letter from Chung Il Pak (a major Unification Church leader) to Unification Church members - soliciting the Unification Church members for financial contributions to support the big June 13th "Blessing" Ceremony. (He asked each family [or unmarried single] to make a contribution of $1,300.00 for this endeavor.) The letter is addressed to Unification Church members with the salutation of "Dear brothers and sisters". In the letter Mrs. Moon is referred to as "True Mother" - a title given to her by those who accept Unification Church doctrine (Unification Church members). In the letter the phrase is used "We are committed to True Parents", Rev. and Mrs. Moon are referred to as "our True Parents" and the letter is closed with the phrase "In the Name of True Parents". At the bottom of an enclosed pledge sheet for financial contributions for Blessing ‘98 it is stated "Make checks out to HSA - UWC or FFWPU and mail to 4 West 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036". "HSA - UWC" stands for The "Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity" which is the official name of the Unification Church. "FFWPU" stands for the "Family Federation for World Peace and Unification". This is strong evidence that they are in actuality one and the same! And Rev. Moon himself has recently taught:
And:
THE UNIFICATION CHURCH HAS BEEN REPACKAGED AS "THE FAMILY FEDERATION FOR WORLD PEACE AND UNIFICATION" The Unification Church as such has largely been rejected by the American public, so Sun Myung Moon has repackaged it and is now presenting it in a way that, on the surface, makes it look like a very good thing to the American public. By not presenting hard-core Unification Church doctrine (at least at first), but by presenting themselves simply as a pro-family organization that is seeking to promote strong, pure and healthy families - The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (or one of its sibling organizations [e.g. the Maine Family Federation, etc.]) - many people have been attending and participating in their Conventions, Seminars, Festivals, etc. who never would attend such if they were "Unification Church" sponsored events. And this approach has seemingly produced amazing results for the Unification Church, at least in terms of attracting high-profile politicians and celebrities to speak or perform for them, making contacts, and attracting large numbers to attend or participate in their meetings. But the Unification Church and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification are in actuality one and the same. The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is a tool which Moon and his Unification Church have been using to attract new people, to persuade them to participate in Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremony, and to introduce them to Moon’s doctrines. Many of the people who attended or participated in Moon’s Blessing Ceremonies were told that the "Blessing" was "a statement for strong families" and have no idea what is the true meaning and significance of the "Blessing" according to Unification Church doctrine. Many of these people would be shocked, outraged, and would be very much against the Unification Church (The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification) if they found out. Please read our article, "Blessing ‘98 in New York City - Sun Myung Moon’s ‘Blessing Ceremony’ - Mass Wedding at Madison Square Garden" to find out the true and underlying meaning (not the deceptive surface presentation) of the so-called "Blessing" Ceremonies according to the teaching and doctrine of Sun Myung Moon and his Unification Church. Pop star Whitney Houston was scheduled to sing at the "Blessing" Ceremony held in Washington, D.C. at RFK Stadium, but called in sick at the last minute. It was reported that Ms. Houston was going to be paid about $1 million for a 45 minute performance. Many people who attended the event had come just to see her. The use of high profile celebrities, politicians and entertainers (such as former President Bush, Pat Boone and others at the inaugural Convention of the FFWP, and Louis Farrakahn, Jon Secada and others at "Blessing"97 at RFK Stadium) helps ensure these events are well-attended, and, perhaps more importantly, gives the impression that such persons accept, support and endorse Sun Myung Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremony and the underlying beliefs behind it. BRING THE CHRISTIANS The need for marital fidelity, and pure and strong families is a message that the Bible and Christians have always preached and aspired to. Christians, always the main opponents of the Unification Church because of its anti-Christian doctrine (see the article Is Rev. Moon the Messiah?), are one of the main groups Moon and his Unification Church are reaching out to with their Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. By presenting only a surface agenda and inviting Christians to conferences/seminars with such innocuous titles as "Empowering Christianity Through True Family Values" they have found something that Christians can finally say "Amen" to. What Christian would disagree with the need for marital fidelity, sexual abstinence before marriage, strong and pure families, etc.? That is what the Bible and true Christians have always taught. But the Unification Church has been using these meetings (True Family Values Seminars, etc.) and these themes to influence and persuade Christians to participate in Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremonies. And they have been quite successful at that. Many Christians and Christian Ministers attended, supported and participated in both the Nov. 29, 1997 "Blessing" at RFK and the June 13, 1998 "Blessing" event in New York. At the New York - Madison Square Garden "Blessing" part of the entertainment portion of the program featured a 2,000 voice inter-church choir. Choirs from almost 70 different Christian churches participated in support of Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremony. But most of these Christians were not aware that Moon teaches:
Most of them were not aware that Moon has publicly proclaimed (in Korea) that he is the Messiah. Most of them were not aware that Moon teaches:
So to support or participate in the so-called "Blessing" is tantamount to endorsing Moon’s claim that he is the "sinless Messiah" and that the only hope of salvation is to be "Blessed" by him in marriage! Most of these Christians were not aware that Moon teaches that Jesus was conceived by Mary having sex with Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist!!! Most of them were not aware that Moon teaches that Jesus Christ, their Lord and Saviour, is a failure! In Moon’s words:
He also teaches:
|
Sun Myung Moon claims to have more wisdom than Jesus, he has often said that he is greater than Jesus and he has even claimed that Jesus Christ has bowed down to him! And from the above quote we can also see that he claims to have "restored" the "failures" of Jesus Christ! Actually, to support or participate in the so-called "Blessing" is to endorse all of Moon’s teachings as Moon also claims that he is the true teacher, the teacher of teachers. In Moon’s own words:
So we see that to support or to participate in Moon’s so-called "Blessing Ceremony"is to also endorse Moon’s teaching that Jesus Christ is a failure, that Jesus failed in His mission and that Moon is greater than Jesus! The Unification Church teaches: (Outline of The Principle--Level 4, p. 56)
Moon teaches that mankind inherited a corrupt and satanic blood lineage by Eve having sex with Satan in the Garden of Eden! The "sinless Messiah" (supposedly Sun Myung Moon) has a pure and godly blood lineage. By participating in one of Moon’s "Blessing Ceremonies", having your marriage "Blessed" by him, and at that time drinking the "holy wine" which contains some of Moon’s literal blood, a person thus supposedly has their blood lineage changed from a "satanic blood lineage" to a "godly and pure blood lineage"! According to Moon and his Unification Church (not the Bible!) this is how one is "born again". Please read "Blessing 98 in New York City - Sun Myung Moon’s Blessing Ceremony - Mass Wedding at Madison Square Garden" for more documented quotes from Unification Church publications. The Bible tells us in Jude 3: "...I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." The Bible tells Christian Ministers that one of their responsibilities is (Titus 1:9) "...to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict". When false teachers came into Antioch teaching a false gospel Paul and Barnabas did not compromise but stood for the truth of the Gospel (Acts 15:2). Jesus was the most loving Person who ever walked on this earth, God manifest in the flesh, love manifest in the flesh. The Sadducees were a very religious, sincere and dedicated people. Though they were sincere, they were leading people into religious error and false teaching. Concerning the Sadducees, Jesus did the most loving thing possible. In love he addressed and confronted them saying, (Mark 12:24)
He then proceeded to show them from the Scriptures how their teaching was wrong and to teach them the truth of the Word of God. Moon is a false Messiah who teaches "another gospel" (Matt. 24:4,5+23, II Cor. 11:4). Moon and his Unification Church are leading people away from the true Jesus Christ of the Bible and the true Gospel and are proclaiming a false gospel. In our article, "Examples of the Use of Deception by the Unification Church" we have shown many documented quotes from Unification Church publications which show that one of the main motives of the Unification Church in their contacts with Christians is to convert them. And the Unification Church uses the fact that many Christians have attended or participated in Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremonies to make it look like Moon now has the support and the endorsement of the Christian community. This is a warning to let people know that The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) is another Unification Church front group, and is a tool which Moon and his Unification Church are using to seek to persuade people to participate in Moon’s "Blessing" Ceremonies, so they can supposedly receive salvation by being "Blessed" by him in marriage and supposedly have "their blood lineage changed" by drinking the "holy wine" with some of Moon’s blood in it! This is a clarion call for all true Christians to speak out against Moon and the false teachings behind his "Blessing" Ceremonies rather than supporting them! This is also an effort to warn people (entertainers, politicians, etc.) so that they will not unwittingly be used by the false Messiah Moon to further his agenda. And this is a plea that all public figures, politicians, celebrities, etc. that have performed or spoken for Moon’s front groups would, first of all, recognize that Moon has used you to promote an agenda and teachings that you may not have been aware of. And secondly, to encourage you to renounce your affiliation with Moon and his front groups - stop helping Moon to promote his false teachings - and help us speak out against the false teachings and deceptive practices of Sun Myung Moon and his Unification Church!
